A highlight of my work
A Whimsical Line
Fine lines, black ink, occasionally dusted with gold — I follow a whimsical line.
The wildlife and flora that inhabit my sketchbook are always a little untamed.
I draw the curious cats, the wild things, the beings that feel like they wandered in from a story.

Meet Aude
Creator of Ink, Whiskers & Faraway Places
Since I’ve been tiny as a button, two things never changed: the mischievous creatures in my sketchbook, a product of my own imagination, and a cat curled up by my side.
From the rooftops of Paris to the wild edges of Vancouver Island, I’m at home on a mountain trail, tent pitched somewhere lost in nature, or curled up among a menagerie of little whiskers. The wildlife and flora that inhabit my sketchbook are always a little untamed.
I left France, my homeland, to claim my own adventures, wandered the lands of the Shire, and somewhere along the way, traded my beret for a tuque. The habit never left — my sketchbook and palette still ride along in my backpack, wherever I go.
Add two real cats, Matisse and Colette, who keep me company at the drawing table and take full credit for the inspiration, and a musician husband — equal parts lumberjack and bandleader — and you’ve got the wanderer’s side of the picture.
Let’s Connect
I’m always up for a new adventure — whether that means participating in an exhibition or bringing a commission to life.
Have a creature you’d love to bring to reality, a pet portrait in mind, or an idea that’s been living in your head rent-free?
I’d be delighted to bring your vision into my sketchbook.
